Sholem aleykhem! This course is for complete beginners who have never studied Yiddish before, or for those who are looking for some structure early on in their Yiddish journey.

Starting with the alef-beys, this course will cover the basics of reading, writing and speaking Standard Yiddish, with a mish-mash of interactive materials and cultural resources, including jokes, songs, recipes and idioms.

Students will be set weekly (optional) homework. All materials will be provided.
