Our paid language courses are a vital part of what keeps Babel’s Blessing going. Sometimes they cover almost 100% of our costs; at other times, we are fortunate to receive funding for specific projects from organisations such as the Hilden Charitable Fund, Hackney Council, Hackney Museum and Yarrow Films as well as donations from generous individuals who support our work. This combination allows us to keep our English classes completely free for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, while continuing to create spaces where people can learn, meet and build community through languages.

Maybe you’ve wanted to take one of our courses but couldn’t find the time. Maybe you simply believe in what we do and want to help us keep doing it. Whatever the reason, every donation — big or small — helps keep Babel’s going and our English classes free.
