Absolute Beginners Online Course

Students will become familiar with Sylheti/Bengali sounds and pronunciation. Over three online sessions, learners will be gently introduced to the structure and melody of the language, basic greetings and everyday expressions, simple sentence patterns, and key cultural context. Students will learn very basic vocabulary such as objects, days of the week, and numbers, as well as an introduction to Bengali culture and festivals.

Beginners Face-to-Face Course

At this level, students will build on their basic knowledge and improve their vocabulary (objects, days of the week, numbers, body parts, etc). They will learn how to communicate in everyday situations, such as having short conversations, giving directions, and shopping in a Sylheti shop. The course will help students become confident conversation starters, understand what is going on around them, and learn more about Bangla festivals, culture, food, and drink. It will also cover basic sentence structure in Sylheti, enabling learners to start expressing themselves more freely. Sessions will include storytelling, poetry, role-play, and interactive games to create an engaging and enjoyable language-learning experience.
